FAQ 1.0.1
I have never liked the apperance of the FAQMAN plugin found at PortalParts and didn't like the fact that it did not use GeekLog templates nor security model. That is why I decided to create my own FAQ plugin that can be downloaded here.Features include:
- GeekLog security model applies to both FAQ categories and FAQ questions.
- FAQ questions and categories may be sorted in several different ways including modified date and the number of hits (i.e. views) each answer has.
- A block showing a random FAQ question.
- Ability to ignore hits made by users having certain access rights.
- Displays top ten viewed FAQs and FAQ totals on the statistics page.
- Ability to list new FAQs (period configurable) in the What's new block.
- Supports autolinks to create links to FAQ questions (faq) and categories (faqcat).
- FAQ answers support autolinks to create links in the text.
- Ability to import FAQ topics from the older FAQMAN plugin.
- Displays last modified date in category listings.
NOTE: If you import faqman topics the IDs will change so old faq autolinks might not work properly. The fix for now is to manually edit faq question IDs after the import, but a fix for this will be added in later versions of this plugin.
